Back 2 School Clipboard Calendar

With school right around the corner, I thought I'd make this cute calendar for my sons aid.

I used the Back2School Palz set by ScrappyDew. I purchased a package of clipboards from Walmart. They are sold 2 to a pk. for $1.88, they are nice and sturdy. Layered some white cardsock and some patterned paper and inked all the edges. I used a punch by Martha Stewart called Cherish and punched the edge of my white cardstock.

I download some 4x6 calendars from www.calendarsquick.com/, printed and trimmed them. Be sure to print both 2012 and 2013 calendars. I punched holes in each of the sheets and joined them together using heart brads. You need to center the calenders on the layered patterned paper and mark with a pencil where the brads are. Then you will punch your holes so you can adhere the calenders using the heart brads. I used my hot glue gun to adhere everything to the clipboard.

When using the hot glue, be sure to firmly press down on your background paper to the clipboard fairly quick. You don't want to have thick spots under you project where the glue is. Once the glue sets up, then you can decorate how you wish.

I used some flourishes, flowers and rhinestones.

This is a very inexpensive project to make, and would make a great back to school teacher gift.

Supplies Used: ScrappyDew Back2School Palz, Trendy Twine, Cardstock, Cherish Punch, Recollections Jar and Package Flowers, CalendersQuick.com, AC Cardstock Silver Foil, Ancestry Paper, Studio G Ink, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, Making Memories Heart Brads, Rhinestones.

July 4th Card

This is my second project using the July 4th Palz. Created this card for my MIL, from my son.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the white mat and 4 different colors of Stickles for the bursts and stars.

My card started out as a flag card and then took another turn, LOL I created the star border in MTC using basic shapes and stars. I do have a 4th of July paper stack somewhere but of course I could not find it!

This is the back, still using the same set of Tim Holtz embossing folders.

Supplies Used
ScrappyDew 4th of July Palz
Stickles- True Blue, Silver, X-mas Red and Frosted Lace
Tim Holtz embossing folders
Cardstock

Walk With Me Daddy - Father's Day Card

Today's card project is for my husband from my son, for Father's Day. With word cards so popular lately, I decided to create one for this project.

I used Scrappy Dew's Walk With Me Daddy Set.

I selected the red "Daddy" word layer, created a shadow layer in MTC. I duplicated the shadow layer and put it on it's own layer, then flipped it. I used some basic shapes in MTC to create little tabs on top of the letters "D" and welded everything together.
This is the inside of my card. I put each of their one set of sleeves on the outside, OOps! Don't tell anyone. LOL Because there are a lot of pieces to my projects sometimes, I usually print a wire frame pattern out of my completed card in MTC.  I use it as a guide when putting my projects together because I work both up and downstairs. My Laptop is downstairs and I put my projects together upstairs in my craft area. I thought I'd remember where the pieces went, I didn't, LOL

Supplies Used:
ScrappyDew's - Walk With Me Daddy Set
Martha Stewart -Twine and Ink
Fiskars -All Year Greeting Stamps
Recollections Card Stock
Sakura - White Gelly Roll Pen
Stickles - Turquoise

Have a great Sunday!
Happy Father's Day Rob! Mr. ScrappyDew   :):)

Grandpa Father's Day Card

Today's project is a Father's Day card for my FIL, from my son.  I used Scrappy Dew's Gram and Gramps Set
The cut flowers and leaves are from Birds Cards The teal flowers are Recollections Jar flowers. I also applied some Stickles to the center of them. I think Stickles are my go to item when crafting. I use them for everything. LOL
This is the inside tag. I used Porky's font, which resembles a child like font. I Split the letters in MTC and then nudged them close to each other and did a Weld. I also created a Shadow layer, nudged each line close together and then Welded again.
To create my project, I used the Ancestry paper stack by K&CoMPANY  Plus, some additional colored cardstock by Recollections and Bazzill. Inked and chalked some of my edges and pieces.
This is the back of my card. I used Penny Duncan's Shaplie files.

I hope you enjoyed my project and thanks for looking!

Water Park Fun Tent Card - MTC Challenge

I created this card for this weeks challenge, on the MTC Forum. You can get more info Here
With summer fast approaching, this will be a great set for all your water park layouts!

I took various parts of the water and tucked them in between the frame of my card. I added some water to the outside so it looks like it's spilling out of the water tube. You can see from the photo below just how small the pieces are. That is why I printed and cut them by hand. I still did not get a chance to calibrate my new cutter for Print n Cut yet.

I used the Swirl embossing folder for the water.

I used the Bubbles embossing folder for the light blue background. I also applied some Glossy Accents to the water and the small splashes. Added some Recollections jar flowers and a Rhinestone. I was not sure what to add in the corners and it needed something. LOL
On the back for my sig., which I forgot to take a photo of. I took some of the water, added a white shadow layer and added my info.

I hope you enjoyed my project. Thanks for looking.
