I used Ice Skating 2014 for this layout. I combined with it, the Ski Bum file. I used blue glitter paper for the frozen lake, and white glitter for the snow caps. I also used silver metalic paper for the foreground of the mountains, snow drifts. I cut the kids about 5 inches. I used the Peachy Keen face stamps and colored the faces. I made the sun with Make The Cut, I welded a circle with a polygon, then layered another circle. And used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face as well. I also inked the paper piecing edges as I went.

Boo Part 2
It's fall y'all! But here in my little corner of the world it has been dreary. The rainy season is here and that means not seeing the sun for weeks at a time. BUT here in my craft room it is bright and sunny. Time to share another BOO decoration with you.
The first BOO decoration went to my DIL's mom for her birthday. Well, the kids wanted one also so here is what I came up with. First off the lyrics...
~ Mix of Recollections and yucky paper in the shades I needed
~ ScrappyDew file Garden Gnomes 2013
~ ScrappyDew file Zombies 2013
~ ScrappyDew file Wizard 2013
~ Silhouette Tag Board
~ Various Inks for edging
~ Halloween paper from Paper Wishes
~ My new toy. a ATG by 3M
My DIL loves Zombies and my daughter loves garden gnomes. So I put my thinking cap on and came up with zombie gnomes!!! I took bits of the garden gnome file and using MTC resized the pieces to fit on the zombie shapes. A little inking of the edges and here is what I came up with.

(sorry for the heavy pics) Now here is the total completed project!
Many years ago, my kids found a rowen broom that was scented with cinnamon at of all places Trader Joes. Strange Jana fact #1: I collect witches and faeries and anything that fits in with this theme. So a broom made out of Rowen fits right in!
Hope that you have enjoyed your visit today. I just might have a couple more posts of Halloween projects before Sanhaim (last minute ones). Then I will definitely be on to Christmas cards for the bazaar!
Until next week, Bright Blessings, Jana

I want to thank God for life, health, family and friends he had gave me a long this 46 years.
He has been my support in good times and bad times.

Just Spinning By!
Hey ya'll! I have a very quick and cute Halloween card to share with you today. I have just fell in love with spinner cards. This is going to a friend who loves to get mail. Not real fancy but loaded with fun.
Here are the lyrics~~
I used ScrappyDew's file called Spider Web. It can be found in the vault.
All the papers are Recollections
The spinner is made up of foam circles and 2 nickles.
Used the file created by Kreative Ken. He has amazing ideas!
So here is what I came up with...

Isn't this spider just the cutest! |
I'll write a short note later |
Short sweet and to the point. I might have one more Halloween project to share. To tell ya the truth, I have already switched gears. I am in full on christmas mode. I am doing a bazaar the first weekend in December. I decided to make sets of Christmas cards. 5 cards to each set. I want to make 20 sets so that is 100 cards if my math is correct. I have to get going on these.
So my friend, take care. The rainy season is almost here and boy howdy am I ready.
Bright blessings, Jana
Fairy Happy Birthday
Tomorrow is Gabi´s -my sister- birthday, so I made this card for her.
By now you must now that I love fairies and the Fairy Doll Set from the Scrap Factory is one of my favorites files.
My Birthday Fairy recipe:
Body: no open toes
Hair Style: Ginger
Outfil: Fairy outfit 1
Accesories: Wings 5
For the last layer of my wings, due to the fine lines, I use vinyl instead of cardstock and works perfect.
Happy Birthday Gabi!!!!!

Brainy Treat Box
I was so flattered when Michelle invited me to be a guest designer for ScrappyDew a couple of weeks ago. I decided I wanted to continue the Halloween theme I've carried on the last weeks, so here it is. Brainie the Zombie.
Using the Zombies - 2013 pattern on my base box I covered all four sides. This is a different technique from what I've been doing, and it looks great (as you all know by now, I love dimensional stuff)
I really wanted to give this box an apocalyptic feeling and decided the comic inking technique would do the job.
Using distress inks on a watercolor brush to shade (Pumice Stone, Shabby Shutters and Tea Dye) and an American Crafts 0.01 point precision pen I outlined all the cuts and added shadows. For highlights, as always, I used my Pilot choose white gel pen.
Finally, I topped the box with my own design of a bony hand, drawn with a Pilot V5 pen on the explore and colored with distress inks as well.
There's a lot of hand drawing here, but it also looks great without the inking. Scrappy Dew patterns rock! If you want to make this one go to the Scrappy Dew site and get this awesome pattern (comes with a zombie girl also).
